Chris Bryant, Ph.D., M.Ed., M.A. is a dedicated administrator and scholar serving as the Assistant Director of Administration for the Department of Health Services Administration and Policy in the Barnett College of Public Health at Temple University. With a career rooted in advocacy and diverse academic instruction, Dr. Bryant serves as an Adjunct Professor across multiple universities, specializing in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, Sociology, and Health and Wellness.

Throughout his career, Chris has been a pivotal voice in LGBTQ+ collegiate life, having spearheaded regional programming and served as an LGBT center coordinator. As a consultant and researcher, his work focuses on the intersection of digital identity and social justice. He has served as the Principal Investigator for multiple Diversity and Equity grants, facilitating “Safe Zone” workshops that transform classrooms into inclusive environments.

His instructional portfolio is expansive and multi-disciplinary, spanning Gender and Sexuality Studies, Sociology, and Health and Wellness curriculum. By teaching across these diverse fields, he has developed a unique ability to bridge the gap between social science theory, human sexuality, and practical health policy—offering a holistic perspective that informs both his administrative leadership and his scholarly research.

Dr. Bryant holds a Ph.D. and an M.Ed. in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University, as well as a Master of Arts in College Student Development and Administration from Shepherd University. His extensive academic work and research in masculinity and sexual decision-making are grounded in his foundational Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Shepherd University.
