College Students / Student Organizations / Residence Life Training / LGBTQ Centers / Guest Lectures / Faculty & Staff Training
College is a time to experiment with academic interests, career choices, and sexual expression. Sexuality is still considered a taboo subject, leaving unanswered questions and perpetuating misconceptions. My intent is to address the stereotypes and misinformation of sexuality by enhancing sexual awareness and addressing misconceptions of sexuality.
LGBTQ Safe/Brave Space Ally Training : A safe/brave space is a confidential place where all people can bring their authentic selves and feel safe, welcome and included. I will work with you to create a safe and welcoming environment for all individuals in your campus and community. Through interactive activities, small groups, and discussion we will work together to formulate ways to make everyone in your community feel included regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or anything else that makes us diverse.
Bystander Intervention and SAVA: This customized program focuses on primary prevention, awareness of rape, domestic violence, dating violence, and sexual assault. Through discussions of healthy and appropriate behaviors, I aim to provide safe and positive options for bystander intervention and information about healthy relationships and sexuality.
Sexuality Educator in Residence Program: I will live on campus (or in a nearby hotel) for the duration of the “residence” and provide unlimited on-campus sexuality programming in both traditional and casual learning environments. This is a flexible educational program that incorporates various interactions with students including but not limited to large presentations, office hours, guest lectures, trivia events, discussion/support groups, faculty/staff/student group trainings or anything else we can come up with. This could take place over a long day, for a few days, or for a week or longer allowing us to reach students in ways a one-time lecture might not. My goal throughout the course of residence is to re-evaluate programming and make adjustments as needed to co-create unique learning experiences for students to increase knowledge, evaluate attitudes, and examine beliefs to cultivate sexually healthy adults.
